Popped and let breath for 2 hours prior to Thanksgiving dinner. Drinking from Riedel Oregon pinot noir stems, aroma of faint earth and cherry. Took some additional time in the glass to fully open, lightly complex w/flavors of cherry, spice and strawberry. Balanced w/some tannic backbone, could last for several more years. Very good.

Nicelay balanced and restrained.....except for the oak. This isn't jammy or overly extracted and has some nice fruit clearly, but the 2x4 is a bit prevalent for my taste. Lots of tart dark red fruit with some earthiness and solid acidity. Ultimately, the oak is a bit drying and maybe this was better in its youth when the fruit could cover the oak a bit more. The label shows the significant oak treatment....and I don't doubt it. I'll still go 87, oak-phobes would go lower. Didn't get better with air.

Beautifully made and balanced. Not in your face. more like a good Cristom with restraint and balance. Really solid stuff, just not quite complex enough to get more than 91 points probably. So well balanced.
