Definitely on the down-hill slide. Crunchy, earthy - even dirt-laden tasting, like biting into soil dusted grapes - but losing its vibrancy a bit. This was a great summer sipper of a QPR red, but its time to drink up.

Still a deep magenta hue, though bricking a bit. Forthcoming nose of violets and licorice atop deep, brambly, earthy red fruits, with some cinnamon spice elements thrown in for good measure. Like sticking my nose in a barrel of freshly crushed spicy berries. Silky smooth and fully quaffable, and even some length. Maybe the best bottle of this yet. It fades in the glass, so drink up, but this is the bomb as a summer sipping red, esp for the tariff. The last note led me to believe this was downhill sliding, but this is knitting together and delicious. I'd say to consume my last bottle next year.

Took about 45 minutes to open up, probably past its peak, but still holding up surprisingly well. Enjoyed with braised beef short ribs.

Enjoyable, nice balance of fruit and structure, and a bit of acidity. Good with food.
