I was worried when I opened the bottle because it had that strong pinot barnyard smell but this is a wonderful fruit forward Pinot. I picked up strawberries, raspberries, and even the tiniest bit of sour cherry.

Holiday 2021 Pinot Noir tasting. My number 1. 1 or 2 for everyone in the group. Light red with a small amount of bricking. Red fruit and acid with some tea/tannin on the finish.

Pop and pour and followed for about 4 hours; sealed about 1/3rd under Vacu-Vin, refrigerated, and tasted the following day. Ruby color; only the slightest sign of bricking. Did not take extensive notes while tasting but my general impression is that this is a nice red-fruited wine with an enjoyable spice character. Did not taste like an 11 year old wine but much fresher and bright.
This was a gift from PGC/Jim Anderson and am happy that this bottle was shared with me.

Showing very fresh and vibrant. Quite light in color. Showed mostly cherry and rart raspberry notes. Narrow and fresh on the palate, with fine chalky notes in the back end. Maybe one of the more acidic and narrow PG’s I’ve had. Has lots of upside.

Cork appeared to have some wine seepage. Opened to initial taste the was off. We decanted for a couple hours hoping it would change. Not much change unfortunately. Vinegar taste at the end. Plane to use in salad dressing mixes over the next couple days.
