Dark purple red color. Scents of cherry blossom, pomegranate and stems. Intense red cherry flavor, a bit of cement, a touch of green herbs and some grippy tannins on the medium length finish. Monochromatic but very glugable. Nice.

Brian's Birthday Dinner (Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck, Paragon): This had a sweet, leafy nose, with cranberries and strawberries wed to bits of capsicum, ginseng and green spinach notes. The palate was an echo of the nose, with sweet berry fruit wed to green herb and bramble notes, with a hit of bright acidity and fine tannins trailing away into the finish.

Really singing now (*), wish I'd taken notes. There was something high-pitched on the nose that somehow brought a pleasurable sensation of funk, some barnyard, but not really. Some blood / mineral, a touch of dried and fresh herbs, just-ripe and ripe black and red fruit. I did not note much change over a few hours drinking the bottle.
* This bottle was stored in good, but imperfect conditions at about 65F with seasonal variation. So it is likely "ahead" and a bit different from a bottle kept in ideal conditions.

Just enough green pepper to be interesting without being overwhelming. Would buy again.
