  (12.5%) 60% Roditis, 40% Moschofilero - I first discovered this one in early 2007 as I was preparing for a trip to the Peloponese and have been enjoying it ever since (wish we had the Rośe stateside!). Clean, crisp and a bit oily with a saline component on the finish . Ready made for oysters or your favorite seafood. If you can get past it's simple, easy drinking nature you'll even notice floral undertones, citrus edges and a waxy texture which make it all the more interesting. An enjoyable $10 bottle of wine that should have a place in your summer rotation as it does mine...

  My first impression was that of an understated Torrontes, which basically is a compliment. It does not quite display the concentrated attack of tangerine typical of Torrontes, but the flavor and aroma profile is pretty close. There is also a typical Old World understated earthiness, as opposed to in your face fruitiness we expect from Torrontes. Light golden, somewhat shiny color. Tangerine on the nose. There is a svory, crushed sea shell flavor with the fruit. Only 12.5% alcohol, it is expressive without being heavy, actually kind of elegant. Has dry acid feel through the finish. Really quite nice.
