Dusty/mushroom/earthy aromas lead and when they subside a soft mature cherry fruit emerges. As the wine sits in the glass and particularly as it warms up, the fruit becomes richer and deeper. There's some minerality and acidity vying for attention too though. Light in color, soft on the palate, this is really very lovely and resolved. Very Volnay-ish.

Pale brick color fading rapidly to clear in the edge. Ripe tart cherries on the nose, with hints of menthol, oregano, anise. Cherries and dried strawberries, notable acidity, delicate tannin. Medium finish.

Understated with a nice moderate-strength nose smelling of forest, balanced palate. Time to drink up.

Plenty of mushroom and earth left, supported by dark fruit. Nicely integrated, and very smooth. Drinking perfectly now.

Outstanding wine. Who knew an Oregon Pinot could age like this. A real beauty that will be drinkable for years to come.
