pale garnet. Forest floor, floral undertones and red berries. Let down when tasted, a little flat on palate, perhaps past its prime, but has acidity to be serviceable.

Quite firm and flavorful now, albeit not traditional in flavor profile for a Burgundy. A lot of spices and pomegranate. Medium weight for a Côte de Nuits wine. Although showing a bit of warm color, I like the freshness and high dose of spicy fruit. Very much still fruit-centric which could mean that it has some room for acquiring more mature flavors and still have enough fruit and body to carry it through more time. I am optimistic to let it get more of the complexity of maturity. At this stage, it is mostly fruit and spices. Good this way but not the ultimate Burgundy experience until more happens. I am hopeful. I have six so I can check on it annually. From reading notes by others, it does sound like that this wine has evolved a lot for the better in the last three years.

I think my earlier consumption was too early. It has improved - better balance, will do well over next several years

Light pinot with good acid tannin balance. fruit at front end - at its peak. Only one bottle left.
