Nice aged Riesling still drinking well, though I'd say the flavors aren't in perfect harmony. Viscous oily mouthfeel, modest residual sugar, petrol, and typical tropical fruit flavors.

Still a good bit of life left. Petrol on the nose, good fruit on the palate with honey, lychee, and pineapple. Perhaps Auskese sweetness if not acidity. Ready to go but no rush.

Domaine Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru Clos des Capucines Cuvée St. Catherine l'Inédit! 2004 - its full name - from the magnum. What a great Riesling! Perhaps the best I drank in 2020. Even though this is not necessarily my favorite style. After all, the wine has 13,5%, residual sweetness and botrytis. But this is squeaky clean and not at all to powerful, as it can be with botrytis. No, everything here fits perfectly into a voluptuous, sensual overall experience with creamy texture, lush stone fruit, green and yellow plums, quince and ripe apples, but just fresh citrus and zest and an acidity that is only subtle but exceedingly lively. The spicy notes of the wine with nutmeg, cinnamon, Darjeeling and allspice were in perfect harmony with the tart and the Quatre Épice. Both were melting at the palate and the sweetness was more or lese absorbed within.

(Domaine Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Cuvée Ste. Catherine L'Inédit!) Light canary yellow color; light floral, lemon oil, apricot nose; tasty, balanced, oily textured, tart apricot, tart apple, mineral palate with a sense of salinity; medium-plus finish
(Domaine Weinbach Riesling Schlossberg Cuvée Ste. Catherine L'Inédit!) Nice petrol nose with sweet jasmine edges; very tasty, balanced, ripe stone fruit and orange palate with good acidity; medium finish

With spicy Thai food, the RS is more appealing. Great wine.
