Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • A nice nose of citrus and minerals. A bit sweeter than your average Sancerre, but enough zippy acidity to keep it contained. The flavor profile is citrus, a touch of ripe green apple and lots of limestone. A good value white.

  • $12 full retail. Light, fresh nose of lemon, grass and minerals. Light weight on the palate, with nice acidity, though some roundness as well, especially as it warms up a little. Lemon / grapefruit rainwater and a faint herbal / mint note. Nice Summer white. Serve by itself or with light seafood dishes. To give a comparison, this wine is rather similar in weight to a typical Muscadet, with a flavor profile that is roughly like a cross between Muscadet and Sancerre. More fruit and a little more weight than the Chauviniere Muscadet that followed this wine. (SNC 167).
