A beautiful wine. Rich deep and brooding. Lots of menthol and heat on opening. Eventually opened up to display dark fruit, chocolate oak and cherry. A wonderful long length. A very special red from the Barossa.

My first "righteous" Shiraz and this was a beautiful bottle, loved this thanks @Rommel Irwan
Another one of winemaker Kym Teusner's masterpieces, this 2012 vintage is a great balance of blackfruits intensity and the density of the plums, with the warmth of chocolate and spices on the back palate too. What beautiful complexity and such a luscious mouthfeel and long finish too.
50% new French oak, and the rest older barrels.
Happy Hour Chinese dinner at Tang Room with the Usual Suspects 👏

29082022 - dinner at Super Tanker. My bottle that I prepped for more than 6 hours. Big bold black fruit, blackcurrant, coffee beans, chocolate and creamy oak. This big but not exactly typically jammy. Medium plus acidity but the tannins is present & well integrated providing good robust structure with rounded mouthfeel. Finish is supple, fruit forward and lingering. One of the best shiraz I drank in a whil

Score is lower only because I thought it was pushed too far. Hard to describe, but almost prune, almost port and almost overdone, But not! The drinking window is more for a believer, as the al% already powers this wine. I look forward to other tastings, who let this beast cellar
