  • Bright ruby red color, almost bloody. Beautiful array of cherries on the nose. The bouquet alone is so pleasant. Also hints of strawberries on the nose. Very deep flavors of dark cherries, plum, cassis, and chesnuts. Very good mouthfill. Very diverse in flavors in the mid-palate. Beautiful integration of fruit flavors with firm tannins, and maybe just a little bit of oak. Definitely a fruit bomb, but never fake or over-the-top. Very nice silky texture, with a long finish that show hits of figs, tobacco and chocolate. I paired it with a dinner of turkey, mushrooms and gravy, and stuffed potatoes. Pairs very well with Swiss Bittersweet Dark Chocolate (Lindt).

  • Dark purple, almost black. Big nose with blueberries, blackberries, and a touch of oak. Big, full body. Some tannins that were very ripe and not one bit rough. Nice acidity. Smooth mouthfeel. Loads of blueberries. Long finish full of blueberries and blackberries that turns spicy and herbal. Very good wine, great QPR.
