  Forward and spicy plums and mulberries, vanilla oak, lavender and sweet licorice on the nose and palate. Powerful entry with energetic elements, full-bodied mid-palate with some bite at the edges. Finish is clean but somewhat chalky. This needs a few more years for the tannins to fully integrated into the structure.

  Dense, mouth filling fruits and tannin, moderately long finish. Opened a couple of hours but would have opened even earlier as it developed while we were drinking it. Has residual aging potential.

  A bit disappointing bottle. Not a lot of bouquet and not a lot on the palette either. Very decent wine and very smooth with very little negative taste. Very low acidity and very low tannins. Perhaps the bottle is past its prime?

  I had hoped that this would have resolved. But no, still harsh and tannic on day 1 with a lengthy slow ox and rest in the glass, smoothed out a bit on day 2 but still lacking. Drink after it’s 10th birthday.
