Still showing lots of jam and cherry licorice. Finish was longer than noted in previous bottles with star anise, black pepper, and a Vicks Formula 44D streak comes through at certain points.

Tasted is right after opening, and decided some time in the decanter was needed.
Could see the legs in the wine which told me this was high in alcohol. Definitely got some plush hammy fruit, hints of pepper and slightly elevated tannins and acidity. Medium finish as it didn't linger on the palate too much longer after drinking. Probably worth cellaring for 5-7 years, as it will allow the tannins to become more integrated and the acidity to drop.
