Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 92 points

  • Opened the preceding night and left uncorked. A little musky and funky on the first night, this opened up nicely over the next 24 hours. Fruit compote, bitter orange rind, some floral notes, apricot preserves and a balanced sweetness that has matured into less overt RS, but still clearly sweet. I can't really describe the flavors great but it takes like mature Pinot gris. All this is carried by its acidity which was quite good for the variety. This comes across as a broad stroked wine, but it does not lack clarity. It is very well proportioned and everything is working together. 92 pts
