Fully mature and not benefitting from it... Brown forest floor notes - rotting leaves, brown sugar, some grip left with a tiny bit of sediment - Plastic cork!!! Burrowing Owl better stop resting on its laurels (they have since 2003 in my opinion) and realize there's a lot better wines out there at 1/2 the price. It's a shame as at one time they were one of the top wineries in BC. All of their red vintages from 2003 onwards (I was a serious collector of their wines since the late 1990s) I now use for pasta sauces... Stopped buying their wines in 2006

So sad, can not get past the harsh cedar notes. We didn't finish the bottle. Drink now, if you can. We paid 45.00 cdn for this bottle. Once again were is the value in Canadian wine? Dam tax man!
Showing obvious signs of senescence, this somewhat blowzy confit of overripe cassis, sausage, iodine is well past it - glad it's my last bottle. I cannot take seriously *any* wine that uses a plastic cork, never mind at this price.

Wow, what a challenged wine. We ended up dumping most of it. Was given as gift...
