Still tasting fine. Very nice golden color. Exceptionally buttery and smooth with nice viscosity and mouth-feel and good balance... still nice acidity. A nice surprise.

fuller and slightly creamier than th '99, but not at all flabby or ill defined. Did not have the over oaked popcorn flavor described as an attribute, and the nose was more melon and marmalade than flint and mineral, plenty of body and a great lingering finish. Very more a Burgundy style than typical California for that period. Great for the sunset, and for seafood.
