Consistent with notes 15 months ago, only more accessible and nuanced on this tasting. Rich palate of integrated blue and red fruit with powdery tannins. Not super complex but its texture, feel, and viscosity lands way above its class. This is drinking nicely now and will be best 2024-2028. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 93.

Nearly opaque ruby red with a bit of light at the edges, muted nose that hints of red berry fruit, a bit of forest floor. Medium-bodied, pleasant acidity, a finish that evaporates slowly, leaving spiced balsam notes.

Drank over three days, reveals some wet earth over the berry aromas, quite balanced, with blue personality, blueberry, raspberry and dry earth flavors, angular and simple but really well made in that regard, drinking well now, better on day 3, has a soulful appeal, not a deep thinking one, if that makes sense

1st of 3 and as usual this cuvee does not disappoint. Slow-oxed for in 2 Reidel Burgs & btl for 3-1/2hrs prior to dinner. Served around 60 degrees. Semi translucent ruby red. Red berries, earth, underbrush & spicy aromas carry over to the palate where you pick up its minerality & vitality. Elegant & lifted. Always classic red Burg from a master producer. Paid $40 on release. 13.5%.

Day one this was tight and imbalanced. Day 2 this reveals nice fresh strawberry notes with decent complexity. It is still quite structured and certainly needs more time to sleep and open up. Light body.
