A very good rendition of Beaujolais. Light, fresh, vibrant. Nice acidity. Lots of red fruit. Cheap and cheerful. I'm not really a fan of Gamay, but if you are, make sure you give this a swirl.

Was looking for a red in my cellar that could accompany sautéed cod fillets with pesto sauce, served with green beans and risotto. This wine paired perfectly: light, bright, beautiful red raspberry and red currant notes on the palate.

Served at cellar temperature, one half hour after opening. Strawberry and raspberry notes on the nose; light, dry cherry/cranberry on the palate; mild tannins on the finish. Selected as the "red wine" to accompany a grilled ground turkey shish kebab burger (including other layers of grilled pineapple, portobello mushroom and green and red peppers) seasoned with a bit of cilantro and garlic powder in a mild teriyaki sauce) this paired nicely.

Still pretty young. Needed at least an hour to start to open, at which point the dark and savory notes and acidity were less imposing, and some light red fruit flavors peeked through.

Notes of tart cherry, spice, minerals. A bit austere maybe, but nice.
