Dark golden in colour with lots of Wood, herbs and honey in the nose and on the palate this wine is really astonishing. A little fruit is still left and shown on the second day. Oily and Long, 14,9 % vol. Best on the second day the fruit had vanished on the third day so I improved it with a younger chardonnay of good quality (Ratio 2:1) and doubled the fun. In its prime this wine might have merit a very high score. Maybe 95-97? This wine knocks out a lot of white Grand Cru burgundies for a fraction of the price. California über alles!

- Yellow gold color and aromas of cloves and almond and has flavours of apricot, peach, apple, honey and cloves - Lovely bottle. Just kept opening up over 3 days. Lots of life in this one.

Part I of II. First night straight out of the bottle. Nice clear color, lacking the fruit and viscosity I would associate with a Pahlmeyer. Higher than usual acidity with some bit. Since it is a magnum, the bottle will be finished 2 days later. Either way I would concur that this is a wine to be drunk up. Have one more magnum and will do soon. Part II of II. WOW. The wine needed the two days to open. Flavor jumped off the palate. Honey, citrus, no burnt taste. One more magnum and I will wait. Can't believe it changed that much. Next time, I will decant the magnum before drinking.

Mon's 56th Chef's Table in the Four Seasons Chicago (Four Seasons, Chicago): A bit cloudy, chardonnay in color, sweetness, oily on the palate.
