Cork. 8% alc, 85g r/s, 7.8g acid. Mid gold. Peach, apple, orange and honey. The initial sweetness on the palate is soon checked by a mineral, acid backbone. Finishes with an undercurrent of sweetness topped with a hint of orange rind.

Yellow. Pure orange soaked in honey. Plump for a Mosel wine. Moderately sweet, great, succulent orange and pear, spice, adequate acidity, and a nice slate finish. Not a chiseled wine, but this rather clinical description does not capture what a joyful match this was for moderately hot Thai food.

Smells awesome, great honey/petrol nose with lemon, peach juice, cantaloupe. Great texture, honeyed peach, ripe apple, lemon citrus. Strong acidity still fully engaged, keeping the sweetness nicely balanced. Long, yummy finish that ends slightly sour in a good way. This is good wine that is enjoyable now but should drink well for a very long time.

Rainy Day Dee Vine Wines Riesling Tasting (The Morris, San Francisco): Medium yellow. Petrol on the nose. Relatively full and sweet, moderate concentration. Stone fruit, slate, and average acidity. Good.

Medium yellow. Juicy Golden Delicious apple, zesty orange blossom, honey, and gentle but effective acidity. A simple, straightforward pleasure.
