Rich and full bodied. It stood up well to flavorful foods like steak and pasta with puttanesca sauce. While my bottle had thrown a bunch of sediment, the wine was still tasty and probably will be for another year or so.

I loved the nose of this wine- - pure black fruit with some PS spice. Little bit of a mess on the back end and it was no wall flower - very powerful and agressive drinking wine. I am a fan. would buy more if I could find it. true to the varietal.

Black in the glass. Huge aromatics of plum, raspberry and sweet licorice. Similar flavors with a touch of smoke. The concentration is unbelievable, a fork and knife affair, but it's balanced and approachable with light tannin lingering on the finish. This is a teeth staining brute and there is no hiding its lower latitude roots but it's together and enjoyable. Grilled fare required.
