  • Beautiful ruby red color; red licorice and sweet cherry nose, a bit fumey/heady; very soft entry, palate mirrors the nose, med. to med. light body, but a bit hot on the palate. Very silky, bright red fruit with just a touch of hot dusty wild herbs. Long but hot finish, still elegant.

what in god's name could have prompted the making of this wine? it is the single biggest abomination i have ever had from a so-called quality winery. is this VA or a commercial plumbing product? think robitussin mixed with the most gigantic plum ever farmed. this wine was so bad that i opened my only other bottle (thank god) to get a comparison. fortunately, the second bottle was only undrinkable, not a biohazard. i'd comment further, but all of a sudden i've gotta go!
