It is hard to not like this wine. I am becoming a big fan of Chenin Blanc from South Africa. There is a nice golden but still clear color. The nose reeks of minerals, honey and lemon. The palate is chalky, fleshy, ripe, grapefruit, lime, melon, and honey. Not exactly complex, there still is some structured body here that doesn't last real long, but gives this value priced wine a nice lift in the mouth. The acid profile works really nice, and actually gets more friendly as the wine warms in the glass. There is a lemony, grainy, taste on the finish.

This was recommended to me by a good friend as a very nice weekday white for $9. He may be wrong when it comes to politics and sports, but he was not wrong about this wine. Nice dose of citrus and stones on the nose. Tart and lively on the palate with saliva inducing acidity, which I dig. This wine just seemed to wake up your taste buds which was the antithesis of the other white I drank this past weekend. Fine South African effort and one that will find its way in my summer lineup. 88pts.

Cream soda and vanilla on the nose with lots of fruit; pears, apples, a little bit of cream on the pallet. Could use a touch more acidity, and this is faintly sweet but nice for the price. I would buy this again actually for a summer wine/change of pace. (part of a colliers case)

Tasted at SAA lounge
Eye: dark yellow color. Nose: Oak, spice, green apple. Palate: buttery, long finish. Too flabby.

Vanilla notes and a straw aroma. Solid wine and easy drinking.
