A very nice post Thanksgiving dinner wine. Appropriately sweet with strong enough fruit flavors to keep it away from cloying. Peach, apricot and honey on the palate. I'm not necessarily the biggest dessert wine fan but this is one that I enjoy.

A wonderful QPR dessert wine ($25, at the winery). Lots of honeysuckle, apricot, and flowers. A bit too simple (and too short of a finish) to crack 90 points.

Bright honeysuckle nose upon opening. Changes in the glass somewhat quickly to get more creamy and dense, but loses some of the floral tones. Doesn't have the lift of a great desert wine, but has slightly more concentrated flavor than I remember from earlier tasting. Good value, pop and pour.

Trip to Napa/Sonoma; 11/7/2009-11/14/2009 (Napa/Sonoma): Can't say i've ever had anything similar. Flamboyant peach apricot nose, sweet palate that hangs on forever. Quite enjoyable, but I'm not sure I'll ever buy a desert wine.

Aroma of "Bit-o-Honey" candy, nice palate with medium finish. Drink now or hold a few more years to further develop the secondary notes.
