  Good full dark garnet color with slight clear rim; smoke, rich dark cherry, hints of coffee and some blurry rusticity (in an attractive way); the palate is broad and full with some astringent tannins and ample acidity to tame any food match. Liked it on its own but it really rocked with a marinated slow roast leg of lamb. If it’s really $53 at auction, it’s a screaming buy!

  Did not have high hopes for this based on the previous notes but was pleasantly surprised. Nice nose of herbs which morphed into savory earth notes. On the palate, elegant supple acidity with a trace of fruit. This is probably passed it's optimum drinking window but still offers lots to savour.

  La note tient compte du prix élevé. Merci à M. Champlain Charest pour la libération démocratique de ses vins.
  Apparence rouge cramoisi, disque mince et clair sur tonalité brique. Limpide. Moyennement ouvert. Arômes mixtes typique du PN, cerise, fraises écrasées, et autres, tel chocolat au lait (!). Les tanins, malgré les 12 ans de la bouteille sont toujours bien présents avec une amertume qui peut laisser penser que de la rafle a été (volontairement ?) laissé dans la cuve de fermentation. Faut aimer ce coté végétal, ce qui est mon cas. Le vin prend plus de valeur en accord avec cette fois-ci avec un magret de canard à l'orange.
  La deuxième et dernière bouteille sera consommé dans plus de 2 ans (2016 et +).
