Stored in the cellar since release. Corked. Heavy cork aromas upon open. There's some zin in there, but the cork smell is overwhelming. White pepper, blackberry, oak on the nose after the cork notes. Overall flawed and will not score. Will contact winery for replacement bottle of defective product.

Decanted for about an hour before we started to drink it. Decent fruit with some heat on the finish initially. With more time in the decanter, the heat subsided as did some of the fruit. Brambly fruit and perhaps some raspberry and kirsch, with pepper after substantial air time. A well made wine, but just ok for me. With that said, my palate is changing to not enjoy most Biale zinfandels as much due to the heat/alcohol.
