Elegant and absolutely beautiful. Harmonious lilac nose with slight citrus overtones giving way to a smooth buttery finish that lasts 30 plus seconds. Decanted for 2 hours and definitely improved. Hold for another 2-3 years at least.
This is extraordinary tonight with deep, rich, almost unctous, tropical fruit flavors with floral notes, nutmeg and firm minerality and was drinking beautifully after a couple of hours of air. Quite delicious.
This is developing beautifully. Tonight there's rich, bitter honey undertones to the tropical fruit, baking spice (mostly nutmeg), firm minerality and a bright acidic core. Overall, rich, unctuous and hedonistic. Just delicious!!
This wine is in a great spot right now. Lush, tropical fruit. A trademark rustic and stone finish. No oxidized notes. A bit lighter on it's feet and in style than their cosusins the white ermitages but this style is refreshing and crisp. Fruit and clarity resembles a fine Philipponnat Clos des Goisses. Superb right now. Try one if you have them in the cellar.
