Lush on the nose, with rich dark fruit flavors. Tannins remain very firm after a four hour decant, this has years to go. Lacking a little depth and complexity, which may come with time.

The Wine Spectator review said this was big, brawny, deeply structured and muscular but like other tasters below I found it soft, smooth and round with ripe black fruits, some chocolate and a hint of mint/eucyliptus. Boring and not my cup of tea anymore. Surprisingly, Ann wasn't impressed either. A result of our palates shifting more towards european styled wines.

Inky black plum hue. Initially sappy, flowering bramble gave way to cool cassis liqueur and mild oak. Earthen body with mixed black stone fruits. Finish was all currants, firm oak, little cinnamon and anise. Lingering white pepper and saddle leather. Very smooth and drinkable, even at PnP. B+/92 = 50/5/12/8/9/8

Drank in Hong Kong
Smooth rich deep and dark. Really nice mellow merlot with lots of soft richness and not too much over-ripeness. Really nice good Merlot.

Very nice, deep purple, lots of berry up front, long finish. If tasted without seeing the bottle I would have bet it was a Napa cab
