Decanted 3 hours, served with chimichurri marinated ribeye. "Goodness shit gracious. Spot on. Nose: Huge plummy fruit with dark berry and leathery softness. Great mouthfeel with sweet, floral taste and an uber long finish. Tart cherry and a serious zingy spiciness that is hard to identify. A hint of limey citrus, that got bigger throughout the evening. (Wonder if day two would have been as good?) Will buy again.

On the nose there is oak, lemon and apple. On the palate there is a good concentration of citrus and tropical fruits, oak and a hint of what I can best describe as coconut. There is enough acidity to carry this through. Unlike the first bottle there was no ‘wet matchstick’ on the palate, I suspect the first bottle may have suffered slightly from TCA.

On the nose smooth rich oak and ripe citrus fruits. The palate is actually quite complex, and enters with a slight woody taste, wet matches rather than cedar or oak – TCA? The palate continues with lemon, apple and just a hint of tropical fruits or coconut. This wine is quite intense and racy at the same time and a good length. Good potential although I’m not sure about the wet match thing.
