The Clos St. Martin is not a top-flight 1961, but this was a very creditable showing from this small vineyard near Beausejour Becot. This is a rustic, old school Saint Emilion, displaying aromas of leather, loamy soil, blackberry and dried cherry, followed by a concentrated but not too complex palate impression with good texture and acidity and nicely melted tannins.

At Roberson 1961 Bordeaux horizontal. Lovely nose, dark fruit and earth, lot's of acidity still, some freshness. A little leather and game taste.
