Broad shouldered with its firm black cherry fruit, coiled minerality and oak influence that will surely integrate with time. Great acidity, structure and fruit representative of the vintage, this will surely continue to improve over the next 5-10 years. All the parts are in balance.

La Paulée de New York 2013 Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion, New York): Lost my notes on the Remoissenet wines, but I didn’t really care for the lineup. Tried the St. Romain, Gevrey, Gevrey Cazetiers, and Clos Vougeot. Overall, they seemed a bit clumsy and heavy handed, though the Saint-Romain was nice for its level.

La Paulée de New York 2013 (Metropolitan Pavilion, NYC): Okay. Pretty, I guess. More or less par for the course for 2010.
