The beauty of Bordeaux, a $10 bottle aged for 11 years and drinks great, balanced, structured, good fruit with smooth tannins, ok bouquet, drank easily, drank with rack of lamb , no more to drink.

Amazing surprise, balanced, structure, with many flavors in each sip, medium bodied, earthy bouquet, the whole package, drank with fish stew with monkfish and scallops, will drink again if I can find it, might have another bottle in cellar

The more I sip this wine, the more I like it. Deep garnet robe. At 5 years of age a still reluctant nose. Medium-bodied merlot-based flavors with ample glycerine, finishing with a light tongue-lashing of tannins. Youthful balance without an overabundance of alcohol (as one might find in too many New World Merlots). I suspect this wine won't hit its peak till 2019. The quality of this family-owned property shines thru.
Tasting 11/1/17 — Medium red. A bit of funk in the nose, but still nice with long flavors with plenty of tannins still to use up. Tasted against a 2010 pricy Knight's Valley (Sonoma County) Cabernet Sauvignon. While the latter was darker, initially more intense and fruity, the Vieille Tour La Rose had a longer finish and was ultimately more appealing.

Decent wine, fairly easy to drink, not terribly complex
