Apothecary 1878 118 Hindley St, Adelaide, South Australia, 5000 Australia.
Tropical nose, some sulphur. Almond meal, white peach, hint of tropical flavours. Balanced, minimal acidity, refreshing, a little matchstick as it warms on the table, and long lemon zest finish. Good quaff ability at five years of age.

Ultimo lunch time tasting (Ultimo wine centre (but now vintage cellars)): Citrus; lemon, stone fruit, perhaps apricot notes, cream, spice, tiny butter and toasted oak notes. In them mouth the wine has juicy stone fruit which is slowly overtaken by slightly bitter spiced oak. In fact, for me, the oak ends a wine a little too dry. Hmm.

Very, very good right now. Would keep longer but could it get better? I doubt it. Stop messing about and enjoy.

A light yellow in colour, the nose is a concentrated combination of grapefruit and citrus that is given a rich lift from vanillin oak characters.
The palate walks a tightrope between soft stonefruits, edgy acidity and creamy lees characters that will continue to flourish with time in the bottle.
The finish has spice and grip, with excellent length and precise acidity.
