Beautiful garnet/prune color. Nose has blueberry, anise. Nice long legs with tight, clear tannins. Beautiful clean, velvety cherry finish. Some nice oak notes amidst the clove. Glad we have one more bottle - wish we had a case! Best Davis Bynum Pinot Noir so far...

The nose is beautiful – I detect a bacon aroma with hints of coffee, orange marmalade, and acetone (not unpleasant – perhaps it will blow off?). Still hints of candy in the mouth, but with a tartness that I didn’t see last time. It will be interesting to put away one of this for a few years to see how it does. ... Wine has improved over the past 24 hours. In addition to the above, today I am also getting a sherry/cognac nose, and a concentrated flavor in the mouth that I cant quite pinpoint in the mouth – but it is very good to just sip and ponder its complexity. I am bumping up my score a point to ninety one. Plan is not to get a few/three bottles and put them away for a short interval to see how it does. Available in Costco (NCal/EBay)

Russian River Pinot Noir. Not quite as good as some others.
