Bannister/WX/BS Dinner (S.K.Y.): From magnum. Thanks Charles Hetzel. Lovely showing. Some nice age on the nose. Rustic savory notes. Great spice fruit, moderate bright berries. Well integrated tannins. Drinking well today.

15 years old and still vibrant. Went to a nice steakhouse with the family, and it even fooled the Som that it was a merlot. Soft dark berries with a hint of oak and vanilla. Perfect with a steak.

Reading the notes below I decanted and filtered the wine. this bottle had little to no sediment at all. At first nothing, 30 minutes into the decanter started loosen up a bit revealing sweet jammy fruit with light dry tanning a bit of spice from wood. I'm not an expert but I think this wine it's not past it's prime its drinking very well. For $30 I will come back no problem.
