Double blind tasting Pale gold, metallic reflections Aromatics medium +. Spice, yellow apples followed by a flinty minerality. I suspect new oak, but was not so sure initially Palate has a medium + body with a rounded mouthfeel. Acid medium. No phenolics. Alcohol medium +. Spice, lemon-lime changing to bruised yellow apples. Finish has a medium + length. Balanced Dry glass notes of caramel apple I guessed a 2019 Arnot-Roberts Chardonnay Drink now, but holding will likely improve.

Pale gold color with silver reflections Medium plus aromas of beautiful ripe golden apple with hints of pineapple and flint with mild/moderate new oak influence Medium bodied with palate of ripe apples and saline notes with oak spices - rather linear mouthfeel for a Chardonnay and rather lean Medium acidity and medium alcohol with mild phenolic bitterness Medium length led by ripe fruit Drinking OK presently but hopefully there are better things to come in 3-5 yrs - not one of my favorite Tyler offerings

After drinking an exceptional Chardonnay earlier in the evening I was curious how this would stand up. It was really a worthy encore. Smooth and light on its feet with outstanding flavor. Elegant with moderate acidity. Great on the palate with pear notes. An outstanding wine with plenty of road ahead.

A little quieter than the Santa Barbara. Not as aromatically intense but the palate is structured and powerful. Just needs some time.
