This wine tastes of marzipan mixed with candied orange, oolong tea, and salted caramel. But it's bone dry and goes great with food, especially salamis, chorizo, or other spicy meats. It's compelling and repulsive at the same time, like watching your parents kiss.

Burgundy & More in Williamsburg: Orange, almost tannish brown in color. Complex nose of toasted almond and orange peel. Good weight and holding up well for a wine its age, with tannin! (which is always fun in this style). A little tinge of alcohol on the finish, but I should note that I was the only one bothered by it in the group.

2nd bottle showed very differently and much better. Whereas the last was delicate and subtle this bottle was intense. Caramel on the nose, nutty, and bright acidity. Really unique and interesting.

Really enjoyed this wine and look forward to my two other bottles. As mentioned before, color was advanced and fascinating. Nose was a bit muted but the bottle was popped & poured into glass cups. Salty, delicate citrus notes, tannins were well integrated and acid was still lively. I'm a fan of the style. Oxidation wasn't an issue for me.
