very dark and deep robe. extremely appealing chambolle nose with some brambly blackberriness i would normally associate with a cali pinot. in the mouth it is light and supple, perhaps a touch thin (?) nice tannic backbone. will need time. one to watch. 2015+

Howard Ripley 2007 Burgundy Tasting (Middle Temple, London): Cask sample. Purer, redder fruit, a lot less oak and better for it. Still light and airy, but more depth of fruit here, with a longer and more seamless finish. Shows promise.
