Very thin. Lacking the punch or jammy characteristic for this grape. Not bad, exactly, but far from great. Not highly extracted but the fruit is cherries and slightly green plums.

I am partial to RRV fruit. But this is a well made wine in the best possible year. Fruit is actually more subtle on this one and I wonder what we will get a few years from now. It will either fade or develop wings and fly.

Still good. Lots of sediment. PnP. Initially bitter at end but with time, softened with ripe berry flavors, muted tannins and long soft finish.

I think it is well past it's prime. No fruit left and sour tasting.

Very nice and typical zin from this area. Not too hot or jammy so you get some character.
