  • Popped and poured. Vibrant, fresh aromas of apricot and lime. Complex mix of stone fruit and mineral flavors. Apricot/petrol finish. Some flabbiness mid palate, but rock solid on the front and back end.

Balanced, interesting. Delicate in a way that contrasts quite nicely with the hefty flavor profile. Good value.

  • I have to admit up front that I don't love this wine. I get that it is weird and different but it is a bit too oxidative and sweetly fruited: a combination that reminds me of rotten fruit rather than really interesting dry sherry. Oysters, asian pear, clove, and aldehydic pit fruits (these are what make it seem sweet). The palate comes across fat and a little sweet...and appears hot on the finish, which I think is due to the volatility of the wine. This is likely a very interesting wine with food and could be fun to pair with grilled pork.

  • Rich nose with apricot, pear and some apple. On the palate, it is drier and shows more acidity than you would expect after the nose. More quince, light bitterness.
    Smoky nose/palate. Oily texture. Balanced.
A nice wine which sometimes reminded me a little bit of a white Northern Rhone.

  • This lacks the cut and focus I like to see in even larger-scaled whites, but this is very dry, never unctuous, and a vein of minerality help keep the wine refreshing rather than heavy. The texture is soft yet lovely, with pineapple, orange oil, and dark spice characteristics. A blend of indigenous varieties: loin de l'oeil, mauzac, muscadelle, and maybe ondonc.

  • Dressner Day 1 (NYC): Lots of richness and body to this wine. Good.
