Baking spice and currant aromas touched with herbs. Coffee, currant flavors. Good acidity, and a juicy finish. Much more about the grape than the oak treatment. Drink 2010-12

A fantastic value, this is plush and relatively supple, offering a rich assortment of blackberry, blueberry, fig, burnt tire, and pain grille aromas. A little less than medium bodied on the palate, but with good persistence to the fruit and oak flavors.

Nose with a bit of oak, moderate amount of tannins, good body, sweet and soft finish. Would be good with steaks or a burger.

a bit of earth on the nose; much better on the palate than the rest of the Septima lineup so far; red fruits. 86-87
