Double decant ... Light, bright and juicy. Mineral notes and an acid pop. A lighter red, but still has some strawberry fruit to open. Like all the Groundwork wines we've tried to date, a great value at $20/bottle, which boosts it a bit in my book.

unscrew and pour, consumed 50/50 over two days. on the lighter side of typical reds we enjoy. lots and brambly spice, and some earthy red fruits. i really liked it for how off-the-beaten path it is for us. tough to mistake this for anything other than new world, but i did get some old world character in there. if scoring, 86-88. would probably go well with some lighter-fare chicken dishes in the summer. might evolve nicely for the next 2-3 years.

My first try with Counoise. A bit 'weird', not unlike Frappato initial try. Might buy again but probably not.

Points for uniqueness. Lighter in body, decent flavor.
