Not sure what the previous notes were referring to? After 24 years of bottle age this remains an excellent St Émilion in a perfectly preserved bottle with neck well above its shoulder (2 left). Opened 2 hours before drinking this wine shows no discoloration at the rim, has a wonderful aroma and in the mouth notes of tobacco but also very pleasant red fruit with some residual acidity and well integrated tannins. This wine is at its peak in drinking window and I’m glad I have 2/12 bottles left!

Very dark ruby in colour, brownish rim! Extravagant nose bothering to decadence once you pull the cork, very new world! But turning to very medicinal and quite herbal after about ten minutes, old leather, a touch of mint leaves! Powerful palate, very sweet, almost like drinking port, not very Bordeaux I have to admit, therefore, not very impressed! Drink now!

Opaque garnet color. Unobtrusive nose of sawdust and dried redcurrants. A very structured wine with chewy tannins. Dried blackcurrants, dark chocolate, nettle leaves. The finish lingers fine grained and dry; cherry pits and cacao nibs.

Over the peak, alcohol nearly gone away. Still with some red fruits. Tanin fully dossolved. Still drinking pleasantly, no more cellaring, suggest to drink now.
