Translucent ruby. Nose of red berry, musk, hot violets, stone. Layers of viscous red raspberry and cherry fruit with hints of iron and earth on the tongue. Moderate acidity and smoothed tannins. Longer finish of red berry, hints of iodine, and lip-smacking candied fruit.

Brought to the restaurant from a good friend’s cellar. Given an hour to sit in Pinot Noir stemware, this well crafted wine revealed a soul stirring bouquet of earthy porcini and aromatic alpine bitters. The palate showed waning cherry fruit dominated by saline mineral rhubarb tertiary flavors, medium plus acidity & a long finish. A great pairing for the bacon wrapped elk rib-eye served alongside a savory parsnip crème brûlée. I can see why John Thomas is held in such high regard. His 2010 vintage is now entering its swan song years.

Out of magnum and followed over several hours. Pretty color that is relatively light and transparent. Some balsamic notes on the nose. Cherry and plenty of spice. Very solid even if it didn’t blow me away. I’d say firmly in the drink window for my tastes.

Pale ruby with a hint of brown. Aromatic, cassis and liquor. Light, predominantly savory elements. Cola, cherry, raspberry. Ei "delicious". Good drinking window now. Excellent

Delicious red berry aromas with a smooth palate of lively red fruit, spice, and earthy notes with a moderate long finish. Drinking beautifully!
