Nice treat, quite broad, much more fruity than his dry wines. It also possesses that punchy minerality (giving rise to almost smokey matchstick and flint stone notes, some may not like it as it's quite distinct) and acidity, here it is more disguised and embedded in the residual sugar. Lovely finish that motivates drinking another glass. Drinks well already but will reward cellaring for sure. 91+

Fantastic Kabinett from one of my favorite producers. We drank that side by side with the Rausch Kabinett from Zilliken (both 2015). Compared to the Rausch, the Lenchen from PJK is a bold and powerful Kabinett. It is very complex both in the nose and during tasting. Long aftertaste. Relatively high alcohol (10%). Right now I am preferring the Rausch for its weightlessness. However, the Lenchen will develop fantastically over the next 10 years.

After loving the '14 my expectations for the '15 in such a great German year were high. But they were also not reached. Some bitterness in the palate and less fruit compared to the '14. However, the tasted Späztlese was really good!
