Citrus, minerals, and flowers on the nose, reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc. Flowers, lots of minerals, and tangerine on the palate; similar to Viognier. Very nice.

A strong floral nose floral but with a slight vegetal aspect and a little oiliness, hinting at the first signs of oxidation. Full bodied in the mouth, good grip and texture, there's a savoury aspect to the taste (a background of ginger?) and dry with a little Quinine bitterness. Still drinking very nicely at 87-88pts but over it's peak and I fear more age will noticeably detract.

Nice floral and melon fruit aromas. The palate is a bit round with more of the melon and tropical fruit flavors up front with a good acidic mid-palate and short finish. What I'd expect from a Torrontes ... clean, fresh fruit, easy drinking summer wine.

Huge perfume and spice on the nose -- you could wear this behind your ears, if so inclined! A serious backbone of acidity, with flavors of apple and grapefruit. Floral notes, too. I will definitely seek out more from the Torrontes grape. Salud!

NobleRottersSydney - 'Bet you've never tasted this before' (Alio's, Surry Hills): {cork, 13%, A$25} Clear, mid-lemon with hint of gold in colour. An interesting, lightly-developing but mostly fruity nose of rosewater, pot-pourri and flowery notes. Seems related to gewürztraminer, but not quite there, somehow. The palate continues the bad impersonation, with slightly thick texture, some soft faintly-furry tannins and flowery fruits. There’s also a tartness to the wine that it tricky to pin down. Medium-bodied at least, it manages a decent mid-palate before fading a little towards the back. Interesting and unusual.
