The 2009 Perrot Minot Nuits Saint Georges La Richemone Cuvee Ultra is drinking well today and will continue to develop over the next 8-10 years. Tasted blind - Dark fruited nose and refreshing new oak toast. Big boned Grand Cru weight, structured backbone with mild Vosne spices. The high percentage of new oak spices reminds me of Meo Camuzet. Clos Vougeot? 2008? (87/100)

Pnp at dinner. Concentrated but accurately drawn sweet red and dark fruit, plenty of earth, wood spices. Very pretty Burgundy with good complexity and good length. With its round and integrated tannins, this is drinking very well now but giving it another year or two could deliver still some upside in terms of complexity. 92+

Medium ruby. Nose of bright red fruit with aromas of strawberry, some dark berries, a touch of spices. Lots of energy on the palate with good mid mouth fill and bright acidity. A pleasure to drink. Strikes a good balance of density and drinkability. The quality is at par with the leading NSG les St.Georges (Chevillon, Gouges) I had.
