Absolutely no bricking and only a very minor amount of sediment. Fruits and tertiary aromas are in good balance. Dark red but not stewed along with leather and tobacco. A hint of broccoli fields but that blows off quickly. Fun bottle and no hint it's 15 years old.

100% McLaren Vale Shiraz (90%) & Viognier (10%) co-fermented together; Aged 10 mos in AM & FR oak barriques; 14.5% ABV, 1.1g/L R.S., 7.5g/L T.A., & 3.3 pH;
N: RIPE berries with something medicinal (along the lines of iodine, but not... exactly); Intensity lurking
P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by some astringent PUCKER which evolves into a LONG, still VERY slightly puckerish finish with a swtness & POSS incipient quasi-bitter flatness to the dusty tannins. POSS approachable now with food, for many (most?) palates IMHO this still NEEDS through '21, then poss making its 20th? [Really QUITE amazing for a wine of QUESTIONABLE storage™!] My EXC'/EXC. 16.5/20 Jancis Robinson (Hemming), 16+/20 winedoctor.com, + numerous other solid reviews listed on wine-searcher's "Tasting Notes" pg.
™According to the still present price tag, the wine's original owner HAD purchased it @ this very shop for $15.99 (date unknown)!

Beautiful nose of cherries and plums with some serious in the background. Palate follows. Pleasantly drying tannins on the finish
