Aromas of spice lead the way; clove, cinnamon and allspice; perfumed scents of violets and vanilla. fruits definitely on the jammy and stewed side with bramble berry, cherry and strawberry and lighter ancillary notes of blue fruits. The palate is fleshy. Soft, medium yet ripe tannins. Acidity is medium. The fruit seems somewhat more subdued on the palate than I remember, but its still there. stewed fruits of strawberry, bramble berry, cherry and lighter notes of plum, spice leaning on cinnamon, clove and allspice; sage, vanilla, and a strong violet presence. The finish lingers pleasantly.
Overall seems a little more subdued than I remember, laking the intensity on both the nose and palate. Could be shut down or just past its peak. Still a good wine.

Paired with ribeye, great combo. Took a few to open, light finish, but still Bronze on my rating scale. Enough fruit but not a bomb and the light heat was good.
