Deep ruby color with a nose of new wood. The taste starts with a light hint of dark fruit and is quickly followed by a smoky oak with a hint of pepper. The medium-full body is not overly tannic and is nicely layered and has a medium long finish ending in a mineral and peat taste. This will go very nicely with a grilled meat such as beef or lamb.

Medium to full body merlot, mellowed tannins with red berries and black currant. Lacking bouquet but got better after an hour or two. Smooth finish.
